In this mini-lecture at Faculty of Engineering of the University of Tokyo, Prof. Rinoie gives an introduction to aeronautical engineering to the high-school students who visit the UTokyo Open Days 2016. He first explains why aircraft can fly, from the basics of aeromechanics. He tells also how aircraft will and should be in the future, mainly from the perspective of environmental friendliness.
