The plan of the Faculty of Letters for the 11th Homecoming Day included a lecture in Session 1 by Yoshikichi Furui, noted Japanese novelist and translator of German literature, on the topic of “Translation and Creation.”  In Session 2, Professor Hiroshi Ando, Professor Yoshikazu Nakaji and Professor Kanichiro Omiya joined him for a symposium on the theme “This Place, the Faculty of Letters.”
