It has been explained that one of the reasons why younger generations have been turning their backs on science and technology is that in the past the University of Tokyo Faculty of Engineering was not able to convey to young people the dreams and romance of this field. It therefore established this forum where a SF creator and a current instructor in the Faculty of Engineering can discuss the future of engineering.
