Dr. Ei-ichi Negishi, a graduate of the University of Tokyo’s Department of Applied Chemistry within the Faculty of Engineering (currently the Applied Chemistry, Chemical System Engineering, and Chemistry and Biotechnology departments of the Faculty of Engineering), who as a researcher hailing from the School of Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering became the first Todai graduate recipient of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry, delivered a public lecture.
