Globefish poison and shellfish poison are well known dangers for human. In late years, however, there are researches aiming medical use of such poisons especially for destroying cancer cells. This lecture illustrates a historical overview of research on globefish poison, relationship between microbial toxins and bacteria, and an example of recent investigation of bacteria in poriferan.
