The Impressionists – Artists who Changed the Fashion of Western Painting

The artists of the Impressionist School active in France during the latter half of the 19th Century precipitated fundamental changes in Western painting. This lecture shows several remarkable paintings to give a concrete introduction to impressionism and explains how these works were progressive in the era.
