Students’ active participation in classroom is a key ingredient of effective education. This workshop will introduce the idea of “active learning,” offer an opportunity to experience at first hand what it is like to implement active learning philosophies in a classroom setting, and consider how we might be able to assess student learning in courses designed on the basis of such philosophies. We welcome everyone who is interested in exploring ways to make his/her classes more activity-based and student-centered!
