In the 1990's, facing the crash of its healthcare system, the United Kingdom made a shift toward a system that increases the effectiveness of medical care by utilizing limited resources. The same issue applies to Japan.
High-quality medical care in Japan is supported by the "conscience" of workers in clinical settings. It is necessary for the system in Japan to move on to the next phase in order to further enhance its quality and control its medical costs.
A doctor discusses how to maximize the utilization of ICT and medical values, based on his experience in the UK.
