I conduct research aimed at improving the efficiency of crop breeding to realize sustainable agriculture. By integrating genomic information with data science, I am developing methods to create new varieties more quickly and more reliably. In addition, I pursue a wide range of studies in data-driven breeding, including breeding approaches that utilize interactions between plants and microbes or among different plant varieties, as well as applications of remote sensing to agriculture and forestry.
