This lecture will explain and consider the principles and actual conditions for “adaptive optics” technologies, which adjust for the shaky movement caused by the earth’s atmosphere, as well as their future and likely limits, based on conclusions drawn from recent images of the universe—images which became clearer thanks to such forms of observation.
