Play and game have long been the focus of attention in fields such as philosophy, psychology, education, anthropology and economics as keys to understanding the human creativity and cooperativeness. Today, however, “Game Studies” is newly established as an independent academic field linked to the research of digital technology and new media. In this lecture, the latest trends will be introduced.
