As the damage caused by natural disasters becomes more serious, there are limits to disaster prevention efforts led by the government. What is necessary for disaster prevention in Japan in this situation? In this lecture, we will explore a disaster prevention approach based on a sense of resignation, recognizing the limits of disaster control and fostering a sense of reverence toward nature. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of moving away from dependence on government initiatives and instead promoting disaster preparedness through a unified effort between the public and private sectors, transcending the traditional distinction between governing bodies and citizens.
NOTE:- This lecture was conducted only in Japanese.
