We chemists assemble molecules and crystals in the world of the nanometer, which is one-billionth the size of a meter. If a molecule or crystal has a pore, smaller molecules and ions can move in and out. In this talk, I will explain how to see the nanoworld from the metric world and the nanomaterials that are active in our environment. I will then introduce the frontiers of nanochemistry.
